It’s a time to honour those who have helped shape industries, where their creativity and vision have left a mark. At Searchlight, we take this opportunity to recognize some of the influential Black professionals driving the entertainment industry forward. From acclaimed films to popular television series, their work spans every genre and has contributed to highlighting black stories both in the mainstream and more independently. RapMan
Rapman is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most influential modern directors, known for his compelling storytelling and impactful work. From the ground-breaking Shiro’s Story on YouTube to Supacell on Netflix, he has consistently pushed boundaries within the entertainment industry, and epitomises a true triple threat: rapper, screenwriter and filmmaker.
